Hello!
I have a Jaz-disk which was originally formatted for DOS. When, I initally
tried to mount this using:
#mount -F pcfs /dev/dsk/c0t4d0s0 /mnt
It said "mount: No such file or address"
So, I changed the label name on it using the 'sformat', hoping the mount
command will understand it. And, it looked like the format options,
volume-label and other options were left intact on this jaz-disk . Now, when I
try mounting this DOS-formatted disk (with a different label name) on my
Solaris using ..
#mount -F pcfs /dev/dsk/c0t4d0s0 /mnt
.. it gives this error ..
"pcfs: disk not in DOS format!
mount: Invalid argument"
.. and quits.
Now for my question, is there any way I can dos-format this jaz-disk?
Unfortnately, I do not have the Jaz tools to DOS-format them on the
PC. So, is there any way I can DOS-format them on my Solaris 2.5 machine.
Did anyone do this before?
Any help, suggestions regarding this will be greatful
Thanks
