NIS and not NIS+ on Solaris 2.3

NIS and not NIS+ on Solaris 2.3

Post by Dusty W. Sand » Tue, 16 May 1995 04:00:00

Can I run NIS on solaris 2.3/2.4?  I known I can run NIS+ to
answer NIS clients but it seems a lot easier if I could start
ypserv on my Solaris system.  Has any done this?

If you're running a NIS master on 2.4, you need patch 101973-03+ installed
to fix libnsl and prevent a core dump in yppush.

Is anyone out there using NIS instead of NIS+ on
Solaris 2.3?  Would like to know if you've had any

Thanks in advance.
