Hello,
I am sure this question has been asked before, but my mind is old,
feeble and barely working.
I have a Solaris 2.5.1 system (Sun Ultra 2) with a bunch of 8GB disk
drives. Each disk drive is split into 2 partitions. In a directory in
one partition on one drive, I mistakenly deleted an entire directory and
its component files and subdirectories. I know you are thinking just
restore it from backups, but that is
not an option as there are none! Since these files have been deleted,
no other files or directories have been written to this disk.
So is it possible to recover any or all of the lost data? If so does
anyone have some freeware that would allow me to do do? Are there any
commercial software packages that I could purchase that would allow me
to recover some or all of the data?
Now you can call me names.
Please respond to me and I can summarize for the groups. Also sorry for
the crossposts, I hope that doesn't cause too much of a problem or
anything near the size of the one I am trying to solve.
Thanks for whatever help you can provide.
