You don't need to do anything special for this to work, since SC3.0
doesn't have any special UltraSPARC support.

If you were interested in generating UltraSPARC-only executables, you
would want to upgrade to SC4.1.  In fact, this is probably a good idea
anyway, since SC3.0 is a bit long in the tooth at this stage.

Help! Compiler Qn

Hi,

I need to compile some code on Ultrasparc Solaris 2.5
and want the binaries to wrok on SS5/SS20. The compiler
I am using is Sparc C Compiler 3.0.

1. Qn about NES on Sol2.5.1 cannot create new lwp and out of file descriptors

I have a recurrent problem on SOlaris 2.6 with a Netscape Enterprise
Server instance that periodically begins "acting up", where acting up
is defined
as using 100% of one CPU, and working slowly. WHen this error occurs I
get
an error:

libthread panic: cannot create new lwp (PID: 11459 LWP 2)
stacktrace:
            ef17ebf0
            0

I also notice from lsof that all file descriptors are in use:

ns-httpd 11459 nobody 4090u  inet 0x6e964cc0        0t0        TCP
myhost.myemployer.com:*->myhost.myemployer.com:* (IDLE)

ns-httpd 11459 nobody 4091u  inet 0x6691c978        0t0        TCP
myhost.myemployer.com:*->myhost.myemployer.com:* (IDLE)

ns-httpd 11459 nobody 4092u  inet 0x71a00bb0        0t0        TCP
myhost.myemployer.com:*->myhost.myemployer.com:* (IDLE)

Can anyone tell me whether creating an lwp requires having a free
file descriptor?

Any suggestions as to network tools that would assist in
diagnosing this are very welcomed.
