Hi,
i'm searching for a modern CD-ROM-Drive, which is supported by Solaris 2.4
for SPARC and x86. I tried Toshiba XM -3501B, but it does not work
with SPARC - Solaris. Who can help ?

Best regards

You'll have to use a genuine Sun CDROM on the SPARC.  The x86 Solaris will
also work with it, even though it has a non-standard block-size.

Or, if you can change the block size on the Toshiba from 2048 bytes to 512
bytes, it should work on the Sparc.

I'm using a Plextor 3028 (internal) in an external SCSI case which I

thing you have to do is reverse the SCSI ID polarity, which is a jumper on the
back, and its clearly marked in the documentation. Just remember the id'll be
upside-down when hooked to your pc.
