Hello!
Does anyone know how to install Samba using SPARC Solaris9 as server
printcap is no longer used by Sol9 and substitution of the current
/etc/printers.conf does not work.
Help much appreciated.

Hi,

Have a look in the Samba documentation on "how to setup Samba with a SYSV
spooler".

Solaris stopped using the printcap file with version 2.3, about
ten years ago.

Do you need help actually installing the Samba software, or with
configuring it?  If configuring it, do you need to send print jobs
to a Windows print server, or receive them from a Windows print
client?
