Solaris 7 11/99 Install problem on Sparc 5

I'm wondering if anyone has incountered this error message while booting
off the cdrom.

(Can't deduct panicbuf from physical memory list)

This happens while booting from Solaris 7 11/99, 8 FCS and 8 U2.

Is this a hardware problem or a environment setting?

You get that error if your memory is not plugged into the simm slots in the
correct sequence.  An example might be that the simms are plugged in from
back to front instead of front to back.  In other words starting at the
wrong end of the simm block.

1. Solaris 7 Server Rev A vs. 11/99

All,

I just got a Solaris 7 Server media kit from eBay which was supposed to
be 11/99, but it's rev A. If I install the latest 7_Recommended cluster,
would that bring me up to specs? I noticed this version doesn't have DNS as
a naming service in the install.

Thanks,
Tom
