Confirmed or unconfirmed?

Nothing, according to google has been mentioned since July last year, and there
were no responses.

Those who know cannot say.  :-)

Sometime in the next few months would be a fair guess...

I think Ed Zander said during the conference call today.  I just don't recall
what he said.

Recordings & transcripts are available at:

Unfortunately, the transcript does not include the Q&A session, nor any
mention that I see of Solaris 9 ship dates.

Solaris 9 is coming in May (or maybe early June).

http://www.crn.com/sections/BreakingNews/breakingnews.asp?ArticleID=3...

StarOffice 6 is also coming in May.

PS According to the Sun CC yesterday, 1GHz US3s will be appearing across
the product line over the coming months...

1. I am having trouble setting up KDE, and any help would be most appreciated

The sitch is that I have recently installed Slackware, the newest
version, with all the suggested packs. Now, when I start startx
(XFree86), I get the default windows manager. How do I change this? I
can't seem to find any of the config files mentioned in any of the docs
for X windows or kde, so any help would be MOST appreciated. I am
totally stumped.

Also, how do you switch vid modes in XF86?
