by amp - Audio Mpeg Player

I am releasing an early version (0.7) of my mpeg audio player.
It has the following features:
- decodes MPEG1 and MPEG2 audio streams (except for the MPEG2
multichannel extensions). Only layer3 is supported in this
early release. It is roughly 30% slower than the FhG/IIS
decoder (l3dec), for now...
- playing support for Linux & Solaris that is a little
sketchy at this moment
- source code is included - there is in fact no binary
distribution for now. It comes under a license that is
more restrictive than GNU GPL, but it's still free.
this program was developed under Linux, and was tested on
Solaris 2.5 as well. The availability of source code should
guarantee it being ported to other platforms soon.
