Hi Folks,

we have a large application using threads under Solaris 2 (and Linux),
and it works fast up to Solaris 8 (including) but with Solaris 9 it
begins to run slow...

The same App, no recompile etc...

We downloaded a completely different Application (a thread-demo), and
it shows the same signs: Fast until 2.8, slow with 2.9...

Does anyone have an idea?

BTW, it makes no difference if i link it with -lpthread or with
-lthread...

But yes, it runs faster on Solaris 8 when linking with the new
Thread-Model... But NOT on 2.9...

Desperately searching for a clue
