wanted zmodem for solaris 2.4 x86

I am looking for a program that provides zmodem file transfer protocol
under solaris 2.4 for x86. I have sz, and rz, both source and binary
but it doesn't work properly, reporting a lot of Retries and Timeouts
during a file transfer attempt.

are there alternatives?

1. WANTED: gcc for x86 Solaris 2.4

Can someone tell me where to get the gcc source and binaries for
x86 Solaris 2.4? I need both because I want to rebuild the compiler
with itself, customising the default directories to our setup.
