Hi everyone,

Does anyone know whether the routines "mdir", "mcopy", "mdel" and
so forth are available for Solaris 2.x? We had these under SunOs
4.x.x, and used them to deal with MS-DOS formatted disks and disk-
ettes. However, I haven't been able to locate a non-BSD version.
Any pointers?

I just noticed I have been using the sunos mcopy, mdir etc.
in BCP mode ever since I installed solaris on my workstation. Works
fine (should since it's just file i/o).

Just make sure you remove the floppy from vold's control.
People normally do this if they install wabi anyway.

Consider typing volcheck, then simply use the standard unix commands
on the floppy that is now mounted under /floppy.

I think you need it not now...
just run 'volcheck' and you can work with MSDOS floppy disks as if they were
UNIX formated...
