When I send a mail as a normally user, it looks like the mail have been
sent by root.
The line in the mail looks like this:
Anyone have any idea?
TIA

Is your user id number set to 0? Use the following to
take a look:
grep <username> /etc/passwd
and look in the third field for the number. For example:
username:x:userid:groupid:Real Name:home_dir:/default/shell

1. /bin/mail chown on /var/mail/username owned by sender?
I have 1 user sending mail to another user
user webmstr sends mail to jhamil01
user jhamil01 read his mail and can't open file /var/mail/jhamil01
because it is owned by webmstr. Is there a way to configure
mail so this doesn't happen and the /var/mail/jhamil01 is owned by
jhamil01, not webmstr?
