named error in syslog

I keep getting this daemon error repeated over and over again in the system
log by named.  The domain is small and simple.

"rt_malloc:  memdebug overflow"

I'm using the stock in.named on Solaris 2.4 x86.  Is anyone else experiencing
this error?  It doesn't seem to be affecting normal name server operations.
I'm just curious as to why it's being logged.
An e-mail reply would be appreciated.  And please don't say "just use BIND!".

After doing some checking, apparently there is no fix except...
to install BIND.  So I installed the latest BIND, problem solved.

Are you sure that there is no fix for this?
I had the same in the Sparc version and there
was a patch for it, I applied it and the problem
has gone away. I don't guarantee that they made
the same patch for x86 but it would surprise me
if they didn't

We got the same errors off all of our 2.4 machines (this didnt happen in 2.3).
There is a patch on sunsite.unc.edu to fix this problem.

Solaris2 FAQ :

5.36) Why do I get `named[]: rt_malloc: memdebug overflow'' errors?

That's caused by a bug in the Solaris 2.4 named. You need to
install the appropriate one of the following patches:
   102479-01: SunOS 5.4: memory leak/mismanagement in in.named
   102480-01: SunOS 5.4_x86: memory leak/mismanagement in
   in.named

so I've looked at my named.hosts file and I can't figure out why there's
a problem....here it is:
