password expired, solaris 2.5.1 and NIS+

It seems like NIS+(?) don't check for expired passwords.  I set the max
change to 90 days, and Warning to 5 days, but nothing happens.  No
warning on the 85th day, and passwords never expire!

Bug?  Patches?
