Bad cursor, Wabi 2.0 on SS5/TCX Solaris 2.4

Post by James Vlc » Fri, 23 Feb 1996 04:00:00

I've got a SPARC 5, 110MHz with a TCX video card running Wabi 2.0 atop
Solaris 2.4  Mostly, things seem OK, but one problem persists: when
running anything within Wabi, the cursor is not masked properly.
Instead, a white square follows behind the cursor wherever it is
moved.  Obviously, this makes using Windows programs a bit tough.

Anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this problem?

System information follows:

With patch 101923-06 (Solaris 2.4:  TCX Jumbo patch) installed,
the white sqare didn't show up anymore on my system.

1. wabi 2.0 running on solaris x86 2.4

I am attempting to install MS Office using wabi 2.0B running on solaris x86 2.4.
The error I encounter is "Disk I/O Error: Access Denied (5)", "Could Not Read
a:\MSOFF2.CAB".

I've installed solaris x86 patch 102331-03 as recommended by Sun, rebooted and
still have the problem. The install log reports the patch install as successful,
and showrev -p displays the patch as installed.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thank you in advance.
