Hi, What's the best way to view and print MS Word docs from Solaris 7?

One way, whether it is best or not who knows, is to get a copy of
staroffice. It is free and at www.stardivision.com

Sun have a tool called PC Viewer.(Its free as far as I know). Check
www.sun.com and do a search.

PC Viewer can ONLY read and print MS format files.

A new product called PC Launcher was released by Sun recently. It can
edit all kinds of MS files including bmp files and the lot. However you
need to buy a Sun PCI card. The software comes free with Solaris 7 (5/99).

The new Sun PC File Viewer should be able to do this. I don't remember
where it is, but search Sun.com to find out.

Then again, if you buy a PCi card, you have a PC inside the Sun box, so
you can just run Word natively... :)
