I installed INN on a Sparstation. When I launched rc.news, I got
the message "... ME cant open /dev/null Permission denied" in
syslog. I guess there is some problem of the ownership of INN
programms but don't know what to do. Any help will be appreciated.
I also created user "news". I gave its home directory as /home/news.
Anything wrong?

try to run rc.news as root
