If you want to say your root's password is in NIS+ tables, remove it...
If not, just type passwd as root ...NIS is nice maybe secure but root's
password is too important...

Don't remove it from NIS+, to change it type 'passwd' to change the
/etc/passwd file and then 'chkey -p' to resync the network password.
