Seems to work just fine for me; what exactly is your problem?

I'm trying to get tcsh 6.06 to run on solaris 2.5.1 .
I turned off optimization when compiling.  I'm using
Sun's cc compiler.

everything but the
echo | cat | cat | cat | cat more
test succeeds.  i take it i'm the victim
of the "race" condition.

anybody know how to fix this?

on closer investigation, I now think I have a different problem.
I didn't notice it before, and wrongly associated the problem
with the most recent test.

If I move up in the history list, ie, if I up-arrow to repeat
an "ls", for example, I can't type after the end of the line.
That is, I can't simply up-arrow and then add " -alF" to
get "ls -alF" (for example).  If this is an optional way to
configure tcsh, I didn't pick up on it as I was doing
the configuration.  I hope this isn't an "improvement"
between 6.03 and 6.06....

thanks for the replies.  it turns out I configured
for VI-style command line editing, instead of EMACS.

oh, I _can't_ use the pre-compiled/packaged stuff
for contractual/policy reasons.  don't ask; it's a
long story.

1. Compiling tcsh 6.06 on Solaris 2.6

I just tried compiling it, and I couldn't get it to work.  Does
anyone have any patches, or know where to get a newer version?

Thanks,
