SUN ATM card problem

SUN ATM card problem

Post by Aldrian Gintingsu » Tue, 19 Aug 1997 04:00:00

Hi, I'm currently implementing an ATM network. There are several SUN Ultra 1
with ATM card involved. The problem is, if I set up a PVC connection with VPI
<> 0, the Ultra will not respond. Only if I use VPI = 0 (VCI > 31 of course),
the Ultra will respond. Has anybody experienced this problem? Is it the
limitation of the card itself? My real concern to this phenomenon is in the
case of SVC connection as VPI/VCI will be assigned thru signalling (therefore,
a VPI <> 0 would probably be set up dynamically).

Any comments will be appreciated.
Thank you.

1. multiple LIS on Sun ATM NIC card

Hi all,

Is there any implementation of RFC1577 (now RFC2225)
with multiple-LIS support on Sun's ATM NIC cards?

The version that Sun is shipping does not support
multiple-LIS. Is there any book/manual that may
help a knowledgeable person to write the implementation?

thanks,
Prakash
