Hey guy,

I just configured Apache 2.0.35 on Solaris 8... did not see any errors
when I was making it from the source files... however... I am not able
to start the service with "apachectl start"...

here is what the error log:

I am using ksh for root and I even tried "sh ./apachectl start" still
not working...
any idea???

You have not set a valid group for the daemon to run as
in httpd.conf.

No. Change #-1 to nobody in the httpd.conf file.
Group takes 1 argument only.

and thats 2.0.25 not 3

Sorry for this silly question, but i never changed installations in
Solrais.
What todo if i want to "upgrade" from the installed Apache 1.3x
(standard) to the 2.x?
Where do i get a package? I just have what you find on apache.org ...
