What is the command for install software to external hard drive by using
jumpstart?
The command "boot - net install" could not jump to external hard drive.

Thanks in advance.

There's no difference between an internal and an external
drive.  Have you specified the correct drive in your
Jumpstart profile?

Well, perhaps you should try "boot net - install".
Next, there's a "root_device" entry in the jumpstart profile:

<profile>
partitioning    explicit
root_device    c0t0d0s0

filesys rootdisk.s0 2500 / logging
filesys rootdisk.s1 512 swap
<...>

Just set root_device to ie. c2t0d9s0, describe your filesystems as
rootdisk.sN (rootdisk is c2t0d9s0 then) and you should be fine.

Except the (unlikely ?) case that you try to install on a
configuration not
supported by the Solaris Jumpstart environment, ie. SAN with JNI Fibre
cards. This would require a modified miniroot.
