RPC problem after installing Disksuite

After reinstalling an E450 with Solaris 8 10/01 and the February 13th
Recommended Patch clusters I installed Disksuite. After rebooting and trying
to run metatool it failed to come up - no coredump, no errors, nothing. I am
getting this though in the messages:

/usr/opt/SUNWmd/sbin/rpc: Hangup
Apr 20 18:48:35 ucl-anakin last message repeated 403 times

I also installed the latest Disksuite patches with no luck. I was able to
create the partition I wanted through the command line tools so it's at
least partially working.

1. Informix problems afters Y2K Solaris 2.5 patch

Since I did the Y2K patch for Solaris 2.5 on a Ultra Sparc 1 system,
Informix 7.22 refuses to startup properly.
Anyone experienced a simular problem? Any suggestions?
Attached some system information and the relevant part of the online.log
