zombied socket

Post by Robert Donaldso » Tue, 07 May 1996 04:00:00

Greetings

I am dabbling with socket programming on a solaris machine.  I have
created a server socket on a specified port.  When I connect to the port
from a client I get a segmentation error.  I now have a server listening
to the socket but refusing connections from the client.  CAN YOU HELP ?
ADVISE

1. zombies nothing than zombies on a SUN

I forgot to mention that I can not use the normal wait(0) method in a
signal handler which is activated on the signal of the child because in
this case the parent process which waits in in the accept routine will be
interrupted and can not wait anymore for sockets to connect.

You see my problem is not simple at all.
