: We have been using xntp for a long time and it is running fine.
: Now we are migrating to solaris 2.6 and We know that solaris 2.6
: shipped with a version of xntpd.
: However, it seems the shipped xntpd is based on a rather old
: version of xntpd.
: Which xntpd should we use ? Get and compile the latest version or
: use the shipped version ?
: Any comments are appreciated.

Same goes for any other SUN Vs. Public Domain utility such as
SUN tar Vs. GNU tar or
SUN sendmail Vs. PD sendmail
You have to decide what's best for you. If you are comfortable
with using PD version of xntp, go ahead.
If you want SUN support, then use SUN xntp.
