Compiling gimp-print on Solaris

Compiling gimp-print on Solaris

Hello,

I have a problem to compile gimp-print 4.2.3 on Solaris 9. After make, the
compilation quits with the following error message:

In file included from ../../lib/libprintut.h:49,
                 from rastertoprinter.c:68:
                 ../../lib/getopt.h:136: warning: function declaration

                 *** Error code 1

                 *** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target

According to the change-log, gimp-print 4.2.3 should compile without any
problems on Solaris, but it doesnt. Anyone, who has an idea?

1. Anyone compiled gimp-print on Solaris 9?

Hi,

I'm trying to compile gimp-print on Solaris 9. Compilation ran without
any errors after doing a small change in the source code. But make
install fails with the following messages:

make[2]: Entering directory
`/data/downloads/sources/gimp-print-4.2.4/doc/users_guide'
make[3]: Entering directory
`/data/downloads/sources/gimp-print-4.2.4/doc/users_guide'
make[3]: Nothing to be done for `install-exec-am'.

--snip

/bin/sh: ../../scripts/install-sh: not found

make[3] *** [install-data-local] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory
`/data/downloads/sources/gimp-print-4.2.4/doc/users_guide'
make[2]: *** [install-am] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory
`/data/downloads/sources/gimp-print-4.2.4/doc/users_guide'
make[1]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory
`/data/downloads/sources/gimp-print-4.2.4/doc'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

I can't imagine, why install-sh is not found in scripts, it's definitely
there. I tried to compile the same sources on a BSD system, there it
runs without any problems. Is there anyone who installed gimp-print on
successfully and could give me a hint?
