Please help!!!!!
I tried to mount a remote CD drive in Solaris 2.6.
The command I used: mount -F nfs <remote_host>:/cdrom   /opt/remote_cd
That didn't work.
I did share cdrom in the remote site.

Thanks in advance.

CJ,

You will have to be a bit more detailed than that. There are any number of
reasons why it failed.

Can you ping the box ? If so what does the output of
dfshares server give you ?

What error messages do you get ?

If the cdrom is mounted via volume manager on the remote site (ie.
you have /cdrom/<volname>), you need to share and mount the full
name (/cdrom/<volname>) instead of just /cdrom.
