Error messages on netscape with real audio plug-in

Post by arno » Thu, 01 Apr 1999 04:00:00

Hi guys, guru,
i try to install the real audio plug in under netscape 4.5, but when i
check on 'hep' -> plug-ins, i receive the following error messages:
ld.so.:../.netscape.bin:fatal: librvcore.so:open failed:no such file or
directory
My netscape is under /opt/NSCPcom and the plug ins are under plug-ins, i
have some other plug-in who works great but i'm unable to fix this one.
Any clue ?

Thanks, for helping.

Arno

Sounds like it's looking for a lib that it can't find.
Find where 'librvcore.so' lives (maybe /usr/local/lib). Then set the
enviroment variable 'LD_LIBRARY_PATH' to that directory. Try it in a shell
first, if it works, set in your .profile or .login file.

Hi!
From memory, you need to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to wherever the plugin is
located. Check the readme again before testing this.

Pete.
