Solaris 2.2/2.3 serial port performance + Patch Status

Solaris 2.2/2.3 serial port performance + Patch Status

Post by Tan Brons » Sat, 04 Dec 1993 04:03:54

A while ago, a jumbo patch was release for 4.1.3(?) that fixed a variety of
problems with the serial port driver. Is there a corresponding patch
for Solaris 2.x, or were these problems already fixed in Solaris 2.x?

thanks in advance

1. ratchety serial-port performance over modem on Solaris 2.3

Can someone explain why the serial-port performance is so
"ratchety" over a 9600 modem on Solaris 2.3?

Is this a patchable problem?  This doesn't occur on any of
our SunOS 4.1.3 machines with the same modems.  Thanks.
