1. unix: WARNING: processor level 12 onboard interrupt not serviced
I recently set up PPP between a SS20 and SS5 (Solaris 2.5, 101945-34) using
a direct RS-232 null-modem cable and I couldn't get it to work at all until
I installed patch 102029-01, "SunOS 5.4: POINT PATCH: 1164798 - no incoming
RTS/CTS flow control". But on a big NFS file copy through the link (find
| cpio) /var/adm/messages showed warnings like:
unix: WARNING: processor level 12 onboard interrupt not serviced
Now I have rearranged the PPP link to go between the SS5 and a SS10 via
14.4 modems and have seen the same warning appear on the SS10 while running
netscape on the remote node (SS5). All of the machines have the 102029-01
patch plus the PPP patches (102820-01 and 102854-01) and are set up with
rts/cts flow control to the modems (plus all other relevant settings as
suggested in the PPP Cookbook, answerbook docs, etc.)
Should I just ignore the "processor level 12 onboard interrupt not serviced"
messages? Or perhaps change something, install/remove some more patches?
Thanks in advance for any insight or advice...
