Dear readers, maybe this is the wrong site, but I'm sure you can help
me. I'm a Car Designer working in a Technical Office, and I with my
colleagues use these SW's to make a mathematical model (Nurbs and
Bezier ) of the Surfaces that will compose the pieces of the cars
(Fiat, Lancia, Alfa Romeo mainly, and other European Firms). There are
many problems connected with the mathematization of a simple draw, due
to technical and SW difficulties, but also due to the Operative
Systems, e.g., AIX for CATIA on Power Pc and Ibm Risc 6000 , SOLARIS
for CV C4X/C5 on Sun SparcStations 10 and 20 (this is the reason why
this message span other Newsgrps). With a possible creation of these
two Newsgroups, we can deal with all those problems that any Cad
designer may meet, as sudden crashes, surfaces that are apparently
impossible to fillet and so on, suggesting workarounds, methodologies,
new products etc., in other words a classical Newsgroup.
What do you think about it? Can you help me?
