I have a box with Win98 (was the same with 95 previously) and Solaris x86
2.6.
I have a 4GB Hd with 2GB (part 1) for Win98, I set that one up first since
Win kills MBRs. The next 2GB and 2 340 SCSIs are for Solaris.
The Solaris boot manager works great if I pick partition 1 (Win98) but if I
pick/let the default of 2, it gets as far as detecting the netcard and
Hostname and then hangs with the drive light on.
this happened on several installs. If I use the "device disk" (I save my
config to save time) and tell it to boot Solaris on Part 2, it works fine...
not unbearable, but it IS annoying.
Thanks,
Dan
