Font Problems under X

Post by Shawn Pan » Tue, 31 Dec 1996 04:00:00

When I try to display a screen on another Sun onto my own Sun (after
doing  setenv DISPLAY my_host:0 ), the following error appears:

Fatal Error: Cannot load PC font
-ngc-ibm-medium-r-normal-*-14-100-100-100-m-*-ibm-pc
Please add to font path and/or compile for your
X server the fonts in /home/program/smx/usr/lib/X11/fonts/ngc

What should I do? Please also cc to my email account, in case I missed
your mail.  Thanks in advance.

1. FONTS FONTS AND MORE FONTS

Hi all,

I have Solaris 2.5.1 installed on a Sparc 20 and and running CDE. I am
rather disappointed with the fonts that are installed. Is there a way
to make more fonts available to the system?

Also, where can I get aforementioned "more fonts"?

TIA.
