netra power

netra power

Post by dm » Thu, 21 Mar 2002 09:13:16

I want to tell netra-x1 running Solaris 8 to
quit power saving and run all the time.

here's my /etc/power.conf

autopm          disable
# Auto-Shutdown Idle(min)               Start/Finish(hh:mm)   Behavior
noshutdown              30              9:00 9:00           default
statefile                       /var/.CPR

then I ran pmconfig as root with no warnings.

But, 30 seconds later, the netra still shuts down my telnet session
and I have to go to the console to get anything done.

Thanks for any clue here I'm stumped.

I have the following in my /etc/power.conf

--------
# Copyright (c) 1996 - 2000 by Sun Microsystems, Inc.
# All rights reserved.
#

#
# Power Management Configuration File
#
# NOTE: The entry below is only used when no windowing
environment
# is running.  When running windowing environment, monitor power
# management is controlled by the window system.

device-dependency /dev/fb /dev/kbd

# This entry keeps removable media from being powered down
unless the
# console framebuffer and monitor are powered down
# (See removable-media(9P))

device-dependency-property removable-media /dev/fb

autopm                  default
# Auto-Shutdown         Idle(min)       Start/Finish(hh:mm)
Behavior
autoshutdown            30              9:00 9:00
noshutdown
statefile               //.CPR
---------------------------------------------

Hope this helps.  You should replace the Behavior field to
noshutdown.

1. Boot up Netra 625 after power failure

Does anyone know how to boot up a Netra 625 after a power failure?
Because the Netra has a powerswitch wich won't remain in the 'on'
position it remains off.
We have APC UPS but without Sun cables and software. Can we buy these
things somewhere?

Thanks,

Edwin Groeneschey
