Solid skills in UNIX (Solaris a must, LINUX nice to have), NT/W2K,
OS/2.
LAN and WAN protocols, especially TCP/IP.
Knowledge of hardware based on RISC and Intel architecture.
Experience in troubleshooting techniques.
Knowledge of Financial change processes.
Must show initiative, flexibility, and resourcefulness in managing
work.
Must be able to communicate effectively in written and verbal
communications.
Experience with backup and recovery, Comms equipment (routers and
switches),
Firewalls, PGP, Entrust, other crypto products would be an asset.
Provide technical support to internal users (dept) for different
systems and applications.
Responsible for installations, configurations, and upgrades for both
O/S and applications.
Perform tests according to methodologies and procedures and provide
feedback.
Monitor and improve availability of services.
Develop and maintain documentation and procedures.
Troubleshoot problems, investigate cause, and generate reports.
Ensure that appropriate processes are in place for backup, recovery,
security, and audit.
