Solaris bash, bzip2, gzip and rgrep

These are commonly available on larger Solaris
ftp sites but I have put them up on my small
site for download, because on some larger sites
these programs are difficult to find.

My site is also less busy (so you should have faster
download times, it has a T1 link), in fact if you visit
my site you'll probably be the only user.

Please go to:

ftp://ftp.webcode.co.uk/solaris

-rw-r--r--   1 root     other     393812 Mar 26 20:53 bash.tar.gz
-rw-r--r--   1 root     other      43591 Mar 26 20:58 bzip2.tar.gz
-rw-r--r--   1 root     other      77312 Mar 26 20:52 gzip.tar
-rw-r--r--   1 root     other      16933 Mar 26 20:49 rgrep.tar.gz

the 'gzip' is not gzip'ed (incase you don't have it) and all the .tar
archives include a man page for the program (I hate it when someone
puts something up without a man page).

bash - its a very nice shell which allows the arrow keys to be
used to edit a command line (and recall command line history).

gzip - is a good widely used file compression utility.

bzip2 - is the best file compression utility (written in the U.K).
It's compression will amaze you.

rgrep - a recursive grep. This is really nice, and if your too tired
to think about where what you want to find might be - use this, it
is so fast you can really widen your search (this is way faster than
'find').

Is there a proper fixed bash on any of the FTP sites out there?

I know there bash is on the usual sites but I don't know if they are
bugged or not :(

Regards,

Neil.
