BTW, I once noticed a problem where Solaris tried to RST TCP segments
that came in on a connection that was dead due to the Sun rebooted.
The problem was the Sun did originate the RSTs neither with the ip_ttl
nor with the tcp_ip_ttl but reflected the TTL of the received segment
unchanged into the outgoing RST. The RST never made it to the other
side because it died some hops before that (originator seemed to use
a TTL of 32 only, and roundtrip hop count was greater). Has this been
fixed in the meanwhile ?
