Calendar Problem on Solaris

Calendar Problem on Solaris

Post by Tomm » Fri, 14 Feb 1997 04:00:00

Hi there,

I have a problem with the "cal" utility:

We just moved our web server from DEC to Solaris and just noticed that
the format of the calendar that comes out on Solaris is different from
the one on Digital UNIX. Well, we are using the output of the "cal"
program to generate an HTML calendar etc...

The bottom line is that the Perl script generating the HTML calendar
is not able to correctly read the Solaris "cal" output.

I somehow need to port the "cal" program from Digital UNIX to Solaris.

1. Is that possible?

2. I don't currently have access to a Digital machine (long story!).

Can anybody help?

Thanks

Tommy
