by We recently upgraded one of our SPARC 5's from SunOS 4.1.3_U1 to
Solaris 2.5. We tried to install NewSPrint for our SPARCPrinter from
an old CD, but the install script would not run under Solaris.
We tried ordering a newer version of NewSPrint but found Sun has
discontinued support for it. I've been looking and may have located a
copy of it. However, the part number for the copy which is available
is:
NewSPrint 2.5-S
If you call Sun Express the part number they have is:
NewSPrint 2.5-P
The former seems to be an older version of the latter. NewSPrint
2.5-P is the part number when it was "discontinued" by Sun.
Two questions:
1. What is the difference between these two product numbers?
2. Will NewSPrint 2.5-S run under Solaris 2.5 to support a
SPARCPrinter?
