After seting-up multiple IPs via hostname files in /etc

hostname.le0 hostname.le0:1 hostname.le0:3 hostname.le0:5
hostname.le0:0 hostname.le0:2 hostname.le0:4 hostname.le0:6

hostname.le0
::::::::::::::
163.7.2.11
::::::::::::::
hostname.le0:0
::::::::::::::
163.7.2.11
::::::::::::::
hostname.le0:1
::::::::::::::
163.7.2.12
::::::::::::::
hostname.le0:2
::::::::::::::

etc... etc...

I get the following messages :

Oct 9 14:58:25 netra1 sendmail[18838]: gethostbyaddr() failed for 163.7.2.12
Oct 9 15:03:39 netra1 sendmail[18858]: gethostbyaddr() failed for 163.7.2.12
Oct 9 15:11:20 netra1 sendmail[18891]: gethostbyaddr() failed for 163.7.2.12

This is only the first Virtual after the base IP. My webserver has no
complaints ? any ideas ?

I did put symbolic hostnames to the /etc/hostname.le? files
(e.g. myhost0...myhost3).
They are resolved to addresses via /etc/hosts.
After reboot, /usr/sbin/ifconfig -a should show the active
virtual interfaces.

I think sendmail requires a symbolic name. Listing such names
in /etc/hosts should satisfy gethostbyname().
