Hello,
Anybody know why it seems impossible to go from
Solaris 2.3 to Solaris 2.5.1 on a SPARC 10? Is there
an incompatibility between the CD's? It seems I can't
upgrade or do a full install. TIA,

1. NIS+ domain: 1 part -> 2 part (Solaris 2.3 -> 2.5)
OK, 2 years ago, when I set up my NIS+ domain under Solaris 2.3, it was
acceptable to use a "1 part" domain name (e.g. fred). Now, under Solaris
2.5, a "2 part" NIS+ domain name is required (e.g. fred.com or fred.flintstone).
Could someone who has already gone through this pain please let me know
what the gotchas are? What is the procedure for changing my NIS+ domain name
(or how can I avoid it)?
