TIA,

I think that's the one you want.  Prior to that (in the 2.6 flavor)  was
buggy.  Post that should be okay, but if it were me, I'd be installing
5/98, if I had to install 2.6

Solaris is up to Version 2.8 now.  I'm not familar with which ones post
2.6 5/98 are good / bad / indifferent.

Nope. Solaris 7 released in Oct 1998. Sun doesn't release new versions of an
older major release once a new major release comes out...

I know that, but I couldn't remember the Solaris 7 FCS date.

Yep, I know that Solaris 8 (NOT 2.8!) is the latest.  I'm setting up
a boot server with all the Solaris releases I have, and I'm trying to
make sure I have the latest of a given release as the boot image.

Thanks for the answer.

1. Solaris 2.6 is the last version...heres Solaris 2.7!

I guess everyone has seen the news item on the InfoWorld
WEB page announcing Solaris 2.6 (hooray!).

I just _love_ the talk about Solaris 2.7 supporting 64-bit addressing.
Didnt Sun just say that 2.6 was the last version ? :-)

Maybe Sun employed the same sequence-numberer as Microsoft have
for their numbering systems :-)
