I am having trouble installing Solaris 2.1 on a Sun 4/260. When I
boot the system, I get the following:
SunOS Release 5.1 Version Generic [UNIX System V R4]
Blah...blah
FPU version 0 present but not supported
panic: vfs_mountroot: cannot mount root
rebooting
On the 4/260 we have ROM rev 3.0, 32MB RAM, xy disk. At first some sun tech
told me that we needed to install a newer SCSI controller to reconginze the
CDROM, but I can successfully boot 4.1.3 on the system.
If anyone has any idea, it would greatly be appreciated.
