I ftp'd a Pre-compiled gcc-2.7.2 for x86 from server.berkeley.edu.
I can't seem to get the thing to install.
I tried make install but no luck.

1. Installing the gcc 2.4.5 binaries with Cygnus already installed, HELP
I am running Solaris 2.1 and have the Cygnus gcc 2.0.2 package installed. I
am wondering if I would be better off installing the binaries of gcc 2.4.5
from prep or should I just do an installation from source?
For one thing, the 2.4.5 binaries want to go in a different dir tree than
cygnus and I am concerned that they will not cooperate properly. It also
does not look like the 2.4.5 binary release is a complete replacement for
cygnus.
I could figure this all out, but if someone can give me a few pointers or
reassurances I would appreciate it.
