Hello,
I am setting up our corporate intranet, and I need HELP
Part of the plan is to have a searchable database of "call tickets"
accessible over the Intranet. This is not the hard part, the HTML
and CGI is the lest of my worries for now. The database we want to use
is
in Access 7.0 ( MS Windows ). I thought we could put the database
on the Sun system running Sun OS 4.1.3_U1, but how can I hit it
from Access ? PC-NFS might not work, as the primary login for the
PCs is a Novel net work and I understand that with the 32 bit PC-NFS
I cant have any other 32 bit protected logins. IE Netware
The real problem is to allow 5 users to have full access to the
Access
database, and the rest of the company to be able to search the database
over the intranet.
Would it be better for me to think about having the CGI script on the
Sun access
the database on a Novell drive, as oppose to having Win95 hit the Sun
drive.??
If this is possible pleas elaborate<sp>.
Any and all help will be appreciated.
