Network programming is easy peasy in Java,  Start there to get the concepts if
you don't already know about sockets, streams and datagrams

I just wan't to learn skill like how to establish a connection
explicitly like when  you create a socket and connect to remote machine
you never see things like ARP and ICMP etc . i f you wana  dig down to
point like how would you create a packet , how to modify its options ,
how to send and explicit ARP request ,and how to process the reply .

I just wan't to find these sort of things!
Thanx for reply and any future help

I strongly recommend the "UNIX Network Programming" books by Rich Stevens
et al.

Looks like you have a news client problem too (I assume you didn't intend
to send 8 or so identical messages!)...

1. Linux Netwroking: Please help!

Hi all,

I am running both Linux slackware (x86, kernel 2.0.0)
and Windows NT4.0 on my PC. My machine can be
on the net using TCP/IP. I have one IP address. I also have
a laptop running both Linux and Windows NT4.0.

Here is my question:  How can I connect my Laptop to my linux
box and be able to get on the net at the same time?

I would be greatful for any pointers. Please reply to

Thanks, Cyrus.
