Cannot find pop3-server under Redhat 7.0

Dear all,

Under Redhat 7.0, I try to install the email server,  and successully send
email from the
Outlook under win98 to one of
the usersin Linux system. However, I also want to receive the email in
Outlook from one of the users
in Linux's through POP3 server, and make the file /etc/inetd.conf.  The
content is given below

pop-3  stream   tcp  nowait   root /usr/sbin/tcpd  ipop3d

but I cannot find the file /etc/rc.d/init.d/inetd to restart, please give me
help, thanks

Are you sure that you are not using "xinetd" which was introduced in Redhat
7.0 rather than the old inetd system ?

You will need to create a definition which should have been created
automatically if you used a rpm file.  Additionally, have you installed the
pop server on your system ?

the smtp server, sendmail is already installed by default, and a pop3
server is included in the imap package.
