Hi!

Recently I say a card Etherlink III for PCI - 3c590 - does anyone know if it
is any good? Is it supported?

HOWTO says that the only supportet PCI card is AMD Lance - but I have never
seen it (I know it is a chip, but which cards use it?)

So, bottom line - what card should I buy for my P-90 PCI system? Should I even
bother with PCI cards, or just get 3c509?

        I have a 3c595-TX. This and the 3c590 are supported by an alpha
test driver. They work pretty well, although the supplied DOS software is
hideously brain damaged.

Let me second that.  I was running WFW 3.11 and letting a P75 machine
share its D drive with another WFW 3.11 machine running an NE2000 clone.

What was really amazing was that I was getting 25k/second writes to that
shared drive over the ethernet.  When I rebooted that machine under linux
with don becker's 3c590 driver the transfer rate went up to a minimum of
500K/sec (using it as a Samba server).
