Hello all
I have a RH 5.2 system runing a D-Link 500TX (tulip driver) and I get RX
and TX errors. Installed a new hub and tested all cables, they all seem
fine. What is the next step in troubleshooting these types of errors?

1. RX/TX errors reported by ifconfig (CSLIP @ 28.8k)
Hello-
I am using a USR Sportster 28.8k V.34 for CSLIP with linux 1.1.85.
The remote site uses MOTOROLA CODEX 28.8k modems, and the connection is
made at 26.4kbps most of the time (except very rare occasions where I
really get a 28.8k connection).
When I type ifconfig, it returns the following:
lo Link encap Local Loopback
inet addr 127.0.0.1 Bcast 127.255.255.255 Mask 255.0.0.0
UP BROADCAST LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU 2000 Metric 1
RX packets 0 errors 0 dropped 0 overrun 0
TX packets 0 errors 0 dropped 0 overrun 0
sl0 Link encap Serial Line IP
inet addr 198.168.189.209 P-t-P 132.206.27.6 Mask 255.255.255.0
UP POINTOPOINT RUNNING MTU 1500 Metric 1
RX packets 17880 errors 0 dropped 0 overrun 15859
TX packets 24400 errors 0 dropped 0 overrun 20619
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ whoa!
I am not sure what causes all these errors and overrun. I am using Intel
Premiere II (Pentium 90MHz) motherboard with 16550AFN chips for serial
ports on board. Could anyone help me figure out why and how to fix it?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Richard.
